AVIX Method

Method and time study software for process documentation & production planning

The time study software to improve your production process

AVIX Method uses predetermined motion times (PMTS) or other stopwatch measurements, to analyze work operations and generate reliable data for line balancing and product calculations.

A simple and efficient study delivers detailed insights, from the timing of individual operations to the performance of entire production lines. This time base can then be used for Time Data Management (TDM), continuous improvement, capacity calculations, line balancing, standardized work instructions, and as a solid foundation for decision-making.

After all – how can you decide what and how to improve if you don’t have the facts?
AVIX Method helps you analyze, visualize, and manage process data in a logical, structured, and visual way.

Perform detailed time and motion studies using AVIX Times, MTM, stopwatch or other time study methods.

Video recording

Video recording engages employees without disturbing ongoing processes. It supports fast and accurate method analysis, while offering a visual and transparent way to communicate improvements and results.

Clear communication

The combination of detailed and aggregated times, color coding, and video makes AVIX Method a flexible presentation tool. It simplifies complex assembly processes and provides clear visual insights into how each process step affects total assembly time.

Find the potential

AVIX Method identifies which parts of the assembly process consume the most resources, helping you pinpoint the improvement potential. Time savings can be instantly simulated, providing reliable decision support for future improvements and investments.

AVIX is something that connects us. It’s a common language that everyone understands. It doesn’t matter if you speak Spanish, English, Ukrainian, or Hungarian. With AVIX, we all see the same facts, the same numbers. There is no guessing, only real data.

Frequently asked questions

What industries can benefit from AVIX Method?

Any manufacturing/process industry that either assembles products or has a manual process with a need for time studies, standardization, VA/NVA analysis, or just a simple process mapping. The process can vary from machine handling (man-machine), manual assembly operations, packaging operations, service/maintenance operations, logistics handling, etc.

How does AVIX Method differ from traditional time study methods?

Foremost, AVIX is digital, meaning you record a video of the process to be analyzed and then work in a software environment doing time studies, VA/NVA analysis, etc. The purpose is to have clear documentation of the process to understand what the time drivers are. Compared to a classic time study you only get a process step name and a time, E.g. “Assemble valve, 35 seconds”. But that really doesn’t say anything about the process itself, what is actually going on? Was it 35 seconds of world-class manufacturing or is there room for improvement?

In the sense of digital, it also means that once the data is created it can easily be refined or used for other purposes within the AVIX suite. For example, the time study of single process steps is used to create the process sequence in an AVIX Resource Balance Yamazumi chart.

Having all the data in one single source of information also means updating and managing the data becomes easier. Whenever the process on the shop floor changes, you don’t have to make a completely new time study, you just record a short video of the process step that has changed and you can easily update that specific process step in AVIX. With the data linked to other parts of the AVIX suite, it also means that changing the time study of a process step will instantly change the time in the Yamazumi chart and in the data used for work instructions. In other words, a single source of information to manage and update process-related data.

Is AVIX Method compatible with other time measurement standards like MTM or MODAPTS?

Yes, AVIX can be customized using our “Custom Time System” feature, meaning that existing time systems (PMTS) can be added to AVIX. The same applies if you have your own industry- or company-specific time system developed in-house.

Can AVIX Method be customized to fit specific organizational needs?

Yes, AVIX Method is built and maintained by our in-house development team, allowing us to adapt the software to specific customer needs. The standard version of AVIX Method is optimized for quick implementation and broad usability, but we also offer customization options. While the core functionality remains the same for all users, additional features can be developed and deployed to support unique workflows or requirements.
