AVIX Suite

Engineering made easy. Decades of manufacturing engineering tradition in a modern package.

The software package for design and process optimization

In today’s fast-paced and complex world, companies are under constant pressure to improve efficiency and do more with fewer resources. Engineering departments are expected to drive numerous processes while simultaneously managing increasing amounts of data, documentation, and complex production processes.

This is where AVIX can make a real difference.

AVIX is a comprehensive software solution designed to support engineers by linking all critical information into one connected system. It helps engineering teams work smarter, not harder – keeping processes, data, and documentation structured and up to date.

Many manufacturing companies work with lean tools such as standardized work, line balancing, SMED, and continuous improvement programs. The real challenge is not applying these methods – it is maintaining them over time. When one change creates ten new documents to update, valuable time is quickly lost.

With AVIX, data never becomes obsolete. A change in a time study automatically updates related documents such as line balances, work instructions, and process documentation. Everything stays connected and correct.

AVIX supports key engineering disciplines across the organization, including Industrial Engineering, Design Engineering, Quality, Production Management, and Lean production & Continuous Improvement. The modular solution includes powerful tools for time and motion studies (AVIX Method), flow optimization and line balancing (AVIX Resource Balance), FMEA (AVIX FMEA), fast changeovers (AVIX SMED), design for manufacturing and assembly (AVIX DFX), and digital work instructions for the shop floor (AVIX Shop Floor Viewer).

By providing reliable data and linking information across functions, AVIX helps manufacturing companies streamline operations, reduce waste, and improve productivity.

We call it “Production engineering made easy”.

N

Integrated Data Synchronization: AVIX automatically links and updates production data, such as time studies, line balances, and work instructions, across the entire system, ensuring information consistency and saving valuable administrative time.

N

Production Process Optimization: The software enables detailed time and motion studies with AVIX Method, using established standards (like MTM-UAS or MTM-SAM) to identify waste, improve productivity, and optimize layouts and work methods.

N

Efficient BOM and Change Management: AVIX allows for the management of complex product variations within a single Bill of Materials (BOM), making it easy to compare and update different BOM types without massive manual maintenance.

N

Proactive Quality and Risk Management: Through AVIX FMEA, teams can perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (D-FMEA and P-FMEA) to identify, prioritize, and mitigate potential design and process failures early in development.

N

Digital Standardization and Communication: AVIX generates up-to-date and standardized work instructions that can either be printed or accessed as an interactive digital work instruction using the AVIX Shop Floor Viewer. This supports paperless production and ensures operators always see the latest approved version.

N

Ergonomic and Human-Centric Planning: AVIX Ergo Balance allows for line balancing that considers both assembly time and ergonomic strain (using models like REBA) simultaneously, optimizing the production system while safeguarding operator well-being.

AVIX is built up of modules of functionality. You can buy one or more modules and expand gradually as the need arises. Many of our customers build their solution structure based on the following basic steps.

  1. Analyze and Structure Work

AVIX Method is used to analyze production processes by conducting detailed time studies and motion analyses, often utilizing video recording and PMTS, to establish accurate and reliable time standards (TDM).

  1. Optimize and Balance

The established time data is used in AVIX Resource Balance to evenly distribute tasks across workstations and operators, minimizing idle time and bottlenecks to achieve the optimal production flow.

  1. Deploy and Document

The optimized process sequence and time study are used to automatically create and deploy standardized, up-to-date digital work instructions that can either be printed or viewed via AVIX Shop Floor Viewer.

AVIX is something that connects us. It’s a common language that everyone understands. It doesn’t matter if you speak Spanish, English, Ukrainian, or Hungarian. With AVIX, we all see the same facts, the same numbers. There is no guessing, only real data.

Frequently asked questions

Does AVIX support multiple languages?

Yes, AVIX is available in 13 languages. Looking for a specific language? More languages can be added if needed, contact us for more details.

What are the system requirements for installing AVIX?

The system requirements depend on your choice of AVIX solution. AVIX can be run as a stand-alone client solution or in combination with a server/database.

The stand-alone client i.e. the AVIX software

Operating system 64-bit versions of Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10/11
CPU 2GHz
Memory 4GB or more (of which 3GB or more is usable by AVIX)
Storage 500 MB or more
Resolution 1920×1080 / 1920×1200 or better

The AVIX server/database

CPU 8-core 2 GHz processor
RAM 32 GB
Disk space (AVIX server) 20 GB
Disk space (DBMS e.g. MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.) Approx. 40 GB

Are there options for mobile or remote access to the software?

Yes and No. Not to the software itself, but all information in AVIX that has a purpose of being viewed by others, for example, work instructions or VSM data, can be viewed and accessed through a web browser interface called AVIX Shop Floor Viewer.

Can AVIX integrate with existing ERP or MES systems?

Yes, AVIX has a built-in interface called AVIX Connector that enables you to exchange information with other systems through a standardized format.

Can AVIX be customized to fit specific organizational needs?

Yes, AVIX is developed in-house by our own team, giving us complete control over the software and its development. While AVIX is designed to meet most companies’ needs right out of the box, we understand that different organizations may have specific requirements. That’s why AVIX can be customized with additional features on top of the core installation, ensuring a tailored fit without compromising the standard functionality.
