AVIX Suite
Engineering made easy. Decades of manufacturing engineering tradition in a modern package.
The software package for design and process optimization
In today’s fast-paced and complex world, companies are under constant pressure to improve efficiency and do more with fewer resources. Engineering departments are expected to drive numerous processes while simultaneously managing increasing amounts of data, documentation, and complex production processes.
This is where AVIX can make a real difference.
AVIX is a comprehensive software solution designed to support engineers by linking all critical information into one connected system. It helps engineering teams work smarter, not harder – keeping processes, data, and documentation structured and up to date.
Many manufacturing companies work with lean tools such as standardized work, line balancing, SMED, and continuous improvement programs. The real challenge is not applying these methods – it is maintaining them over time. When one change creates ten new documents to update, valuable time is quickly lost.
With AVIX, data never becomes obsolete. A change in a time study automatically updates related documents such as line balances, work instructions, and process documentation. Everything stays connected and correct.
AVIX supports key engineering disciplines across the organization, including Industrial Engineering, Design Engineering, Quality, Production Management, and Lean production & Continuous Improvement. The modular solution includes powerful tools for time and motion studies (AVIX Method), flow optimization and line balancing (AVIX Resource Balance), FMEA (AVIX FMEA), fast changeovers (AVIX SMED), design for manufacturing and assembly (AVIX DFX), and digital work instructions for the shop floor (AVIX Shop Floor Viewer).
By providing reliable data and linking information across functions, AVIX helps manufacturing companies streamline operations, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
We call it “Production engineering made easy”.
Integrated Data Synchronization: AVIX automatically links and updates production data, such as time studies, line balances, and work instructions, across the entire system, ensuring information consistency and saving valuable administrative time.
Production Process Optimization: The software enables detailed time and motion studies with AVIX Method, using established standards (like MTM-UAS or MTM-SAM) to identify waste, improve productivity, and optimize layouts and work methods.
Efficient BOM and Change Management: AVIX allows for the management of complex product variations within a single Bill of Materials (BOM), making it easy to compare and update different BOM types without massive manual maintenance.
Proactive Quality and Risk Management: Through AVIX FMEA, teams can perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (D-FMEA and P-FMEA) to identify, prioritize, and mitigate potential design and process failures early in development.
Digital Standardization and Communication: AVIX generates up-to-date and standardized work instructions that can either be printed or accessed as an interactive digital work instruction using the AVIX Shop Floor Viewer. This supports paperless production and ensures operators always see the latest approved version.
Ergonomic and Human-Centric Planning: AVIX Ergo Balance allows for line balancing that considers both assembly time and ergonomic strain (using models like REBA) simultaneously, optimizing the production system while safeguarding operator well-being.
AVIX is built up of modules of functionality. You can buy one or more modules and expand gradually as the need arises. Many of our customers build their solution structure based on the following basic steps.
-
Analyze and Structure Work
AVIX Method is used to analyze production processes by conducting detailed time studies and motion analyses, often utilizing video recording and PMTS, to establish accurate and reliable time standards (TDM).
-
Optimize and Balance
The established time data is used in AVIX Resource Balance to evenly distribute tasks across workstations and operators, minimizing idle time and bottlenecks to achieve the optimal production flow.
-
Deploy and Document
The optimized process sequence and time study are used to automatically create and deploy standardized, up-to-date digital work instructions that can either be printed or viewed via AVIX Shop Floor Viewer.
AVIX Method
AVIX Method is a time study and process documentation software that uses Predetermined Motion Time Systems (PMTS) or other stopwatch measurements to generate reliable time data. This detailed time base forms the foundation for Time Data Management (TDM), capacity calculations, and creating standardized work instructions.
AVIX Resource Balance
This module is a powerful line balancing software designed to optimize production flows by balancing work operations across workstations and operators. It seamlessly integrates with AVIX Method to use detailed time analysis as input, enabling fast and accurate line balancing with real-time updates as data changes.
AVIX SMED
AVIX SMED helps reduce changeover times by applying the Single-Minute Exchange of Die principle to visualize, analyze, and continuously improve setup processes. It minimizes setup time and reduces downtime by allowing users to efficiently analyze internal and external setup operations, even managing multiple resources working in parallel.
AVIX FMEA
AVIX FMEA simplifies Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for both product design (D-FMEA) and manufacturing processes (P-FMEA). By linking the analysis directly to process structures and providing real-world context via video, it helps teams identify and prioritize risks, automatically generating a Control Plan from the analysis data.
AVIX DFX
AVIX DFX is a module for Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) that helps design teams optimize products for assembly early in the development cycle. It provides visual analyses and built-in methodology to find improvements, which can often reduce the number of components and manual assembly steps by 20–40%.
AVIX Ergo
This module is an ergonomic assessment software that uses established models like the REBA model to determine physiological strain levels directly from video footage of the workplace. It provides a visual and interactive way to identify high-risk tasks and helps optimize performance systems while ensuring operator well-being.
AVIX Shop Floor Viewer
AVIX Shop Floor Viewer provides the solution for presenting digital and interactive work instructions directly through a web browser on any network-connected screen. It ensures that instructions are always up-to-date because it reuses the interconnected data from time studies and line balancing, supporting a transition to paperless production.
AVIX Execution Optimizer
An extension of AVIX Resource Balance, this advanced software helps maximize line output by analyzing and optimizing build schedules and production programs. It calculates accurate workload distributions based on real production programs and uses heat map visualization to predict and prevent future balancing issues before they impact the production flow.
AVIX Ergo Balance
This specialized software performs ergonomic line balancing by optimizing assembly lines based on both workload distribution (time) and ergonomic strain simultaneously. It helps create safer and more efficient production environments by identifying ergonomically demanding workstations and optimizing work rotation to prevent musculoskeletal disorders.
AVIX Connector
AVIX Connector is a system integration software designed to enable seamless and secure data exchange between AVIX and other critical production systems like ERP, MES, or PLM. It automates data transfer, which maintains data consistency throughout your digital production environment and allows each system to focus on its core function.
AVIX is something that connects us. It’s a common language that everyone understands. It doesn’t matter if you speak Spanish, English, Ukrainian, or Hungarian. With AVIX, we all see the same facts, the same numbers. There is no guessing, only real data.
